The Kognia Story

The discipline of ecological physics, in which Kognia co-founders Maurici A. Lopez-Felip and Henry Harrison focused on for their groundbreaking PhD research, explores how organisms navigate their environment through continuous cycles of perception and action. In this view, organisms (players) and their environment should be considered inseparable and viewed as one dynamic system that evolves over time.

These principles are applied to Kognia's tactical data. In addition, through Maurici’s spell as Head of Research of the Methodology Department at FC Barcelona, these same principles were explored further at one of the most forward-thinking football clubs in Europe.
