Tactical Insights To Analyse The Game
Computer vision and AI technology to detect detailed tactics across all parts of the game

Contextualised insights for coaches
We believe that isolated events do not provide enough information to truly understand a player or team’s performance. Therefore, tactical data is essential to complement and provide additional knowledge and context about performance.
Compared to single event data that is just one point in time and an outcome, Kognia tactical data is deeper and dynamic, providing a more detailed understanding of a football concept.
Our AI technology detects detailed tactical concepts, which can involve one or multiple players, off-the-ball actions and other dynamic behaviours unfolding over time.

Technology to deliver insight
One of the key technologies we use is computer vision, a form of AI that enables us to analyse video footage of players. This technology allows us to track a team or player's behaviours and identify areas where they can better assess performance and translate this into language and terminology used by analysts and coaches.
In addition to our computer vision technology, we also use deep learning algorithms to provide insights into physical performance. This technology allows us to identify and analyse players' physical performance in relation to contextual moments in a game.

Tactical insights that provide the full picture to analyse the game

For each tactical concept, we define a rich set of attributes and metrics that describe how the behaviour unfolds, not merely how often it occurs.
These attributes capture the temporal and spatial dynamics of the game:
Movement trajectories (short vs long, fast vs slow)
Ball involvement (received or not, type of contact: foot, header, etc.)
Spatial relationships (zones, distances, direction of play)
