ESIC and Kognia sign a collaboration agreement to promote innovation in the sports data industry

ESIC Barcelona and Kognia have formalised a collaboration agreement to establish a framework for cooperation across training, talent development, applied research and knowledge transfer in areas related to the sports data industry, applied analytics, data-driven decision-making and artificial intelligence.

The agreement reinforces the willingness of both entities to connect the academic world with the business and technological ecosystem, facilitating student participation in real projects, promoting the continuous updating of knowledge, and fostering joint initiatives that deliver genuine impact.

Within the framework of the agreement, ESIC will make its employment and internship channels available to Kognia, enable the participation of students in special projects, and will favor the integration of real cases from the company into subjects, workshops, and transversal projects. 

The collaboration also includes Kognia's participation in ESIC's academic activities through conferences, specialised courses and project mentorship, in addition to student visits to the Kognia office in Barcelona to gain first-hand knowledge of the operation and application of advanced analytics in the sports field.

The agreement was signed at an event at ESIC Barcelona with Kognia CEO and co-founder Maurici A. Lopez-Félip alongside representatives from the university on Thursday 17th June.
